What does water removal include?

Stopping the source when we can, pumping out standing water, extracting it from floors, carpet and pad, removing what can’t be saved, and setting air movers and dehumidifiers with daily moisture readings until the materials test dry.

How fast should standing water be removed?

As soon as possible. Water keeps wicking into drywall, baseboards and pad, and mold can start on materials that stay wet for 24 to 48 hours.

What should I do before the crew arrives?

If it's safe, shut off the main water valve and the power to wet areas. Lift valuables off the floor and take photos. Don't run a household vacuum on standing water.

How long does drying take?

It depends on what got wet and for how long. We read the moisture every visit and pull the equipment only when the materials test dry.

Do I have to move out?

Rarely. We contain the work area; if there's sewage or major damage, we'll tell you on the first visit.

Does homeowners insurance cover water damage?

Usually, when the damage is sudden and accidental, like a burst pipe or a failed appliance line. Slow leaks, wear and rising floodwater are usually excluded; flood needs its own policy. Your adjuster decides, and we give them the photos and moisture readings.

Can water damage turn into mold?

Yes. Mold can appear within 24 to 48 hours on wet materials — which is why drying fast matters most.

Can a water-damaged ceiling be repaired?

Yes, once the leak above it is fixed. We open the wet section, dry the framing with readings, then hang new drywall, finish it and paint.
